Having just returned from a surf-filled adventure in Portugal, I decided to explore Aveiro's charm at Fernando Guest House. The location proved strategic, with a short stroll to the train station and the vibrant city center, allowing for convenient exploration. Upon arrival, the check-in process was swift, setting the stage for a promising stay. The room boasted a cozy bed, essential amenities, and tasteful decor, providing a comfortable refuge after a day of exploration. The shared bathroom maintained cleanliness standards, with hot water readily available.Although the budget-friendly price point aligns with my thrifty Italian nature, I was disappointed to encounter a few unwelcome guests - the infamous bed bugs. This unwelcome surprise tarnished an otherwise pleasant stay.In summary, Fernando Guest House offers a compelling value proposition for budget-conscious travelers seeking a convenient base in Aveiro. However, the presence of bed bugs dampened the overall experience, leaving me hesitant to revisit in the future.
